UNO Tour is our featured educational program. As a team of architects, we are interested in historic and characteristic neighborhoods. We conduct local researches referencing architectural history, urban development study, and in-depth analysis of historic significance in these areas. In the meantime, we actively explore the potential of the emerging local cultures. Based on our research, we plan and produce related exhibitions, and invite tutors with academic backgrounds to do educational tours in the neighborhoods.

Tying to author Chen Danyan’s book “Shanghai Memorabilia,” a specific walking tour set in the Hengfu (Hengshan-Fuxing Road) Historical and Cultural Area has recently released by the UNO Tour, an architects’ collective based in downtown Xuhui District.
The itinerary starts at the Nie’er (Chinese musician) Statue and ends in Pushkin (Russian poet) Square. Along the Fuxing Road, visitors can see the latest innovations, new trends, as well as thoughtful improvements and changes to architecture features from prior eras.

走进外滩的第二立面
外滩对于上海的意义是不言而喻的最早的道路、最早的码头、最早的外侨建筑、最早的城市公共空间均位于此。外滩不仅仅是上海城市繁荣与发展的标志，同时也是镌刻着城市一个多世纪的历史的丰碑。一公里长的外滩沿江立面作为上海的符号频繁出现在影视作品、宣传资料和每个人的上海旅行相簿中，然而我们对这一新月形的江岸背后又有哪些了解呢？

The BUND and Beyond
The significance of the Bund to Shanghai is self-evident: the earliest roads, the earliest piers, the earliest expatriate buildings, and the earliest urban public space are all located here. The BUND is not only a symbol of the city's prosperity and development, but also a monument engraved with more than a century of history. The one-kilometer-long riverfront of the Bund is a symbol of Shanghai that frequently appears in movies, promotional materials and everyone's Shanghai travel album, but what do we know about this crescent-shaped riverfront? "We will ask the architect to take you into the second façade of the Bund, to explore the Bund of today, which carries the history and the present, avoiding the crowded first façade of the Bund.
