衡复历史风貌区内有36条“永不拓宽”的街道，这些经历了近百年历史的街道勾勒出了风貌区不可复制的城市肌理，也铺垫了上海充满魅力的都市生活。或安静或喧闹，或开阔或拥挤，或市井或时尚，这些街道相互叠加交织使整个城市的面貌也更加丰富立体。
掩映在梧桐斑驳树荫下的店铺里，有人日复一日地精心调配着最上海的传统味道，有人年复一年坚守着不起眼的杂货天地，有人为了晚归的客人兢兢业业地把新鲜的果蔬摆满货架，有人肆意展示着最吸引眼球的潮流......
这些店铺是街区与街道的界面，店铺之中既有店主的日常生活也有外来者的窥探和访问。相比于坚实的建筑立面，店铺的门洞和窗口是透明的，就好像是在地居民和来往过客的交流和妥协。他们吐露那一丝生活的气息，给匆匆来人一瞬的温暖，将他们融入了自己的生活。
乌鲁木齐路与五原路便是风貌区中两条相互交叉却风格迥异的街道，目不暇接的店铺里展示着生活百态。Urban Network Office[织城网络]与Drawing Shanghai[写生上海] 共同策划了“历史街区店铺百态”写生展，从写生爱好者的新鲜视角发掘并记录街道最动人的瞬间，展示风貌区日常生活中蕴含的朴实迷人的不平凡。
城市记录者徐明也将通过他的纪实文字与照片，讲述小小店铺的店主们真实又有趣的经历与观点。这些有点琐碎的“故事”，可能也就是写生爱好者们对“为什么要画这里？” 这个问题的答案了。
There are thirty-six “Never-widening” streets in Hengfu historical style district. These streets, which have a history of nearly 100 years, outline Hengfu’s urban texture that cannot be replicated, and also set the stage for the charming urban life of Shanghai. Mid. Wulumuqi Road and Wuyuan Road are two streets in the district that cross each other. The bustling shops along the streets show different lifestyles.
In the shops shaded by sycamores, some shop owners strive for the unique taste of Shanghai day by day. Some owners persist in the most insignificant grocery business year after year. Some people fill shelves with fresh fruits and vegetables for the convenience of the customers who return home late, and some enjoy showing the most eye-catching fashion trend.
The storefronts are the frontages between buildings and streets. The local stores contain the daily lives of the shop owners and accommodate the visits of the passer-by. They stand for negotiation between the locals and the public. Compared with the stagnant surface of the buildings, the stores are transparent. They introduce the experience of local livelihood to the visitors.
Middle Wulumuqi Road and Wuyuan Road are two streets in the district that cross each other but have totally different styles. The glittering array of shops along the streets shows different lifestyles. Urban Network Office and Drawing Shanghai present the“Bustling Stores”, aiming to rediscover and record the most touching moments in the street from the fresh perspective of drawing, and show the enchanting and extraordinary simplicity of daily life in the Hengfu area.
